Rowntree’s is a British confectionery brand founded in 1862 in York by Henry Isaac Rowntree and Joseph Rowntree. It is best known for a range of fruit-flavoured sweets such as Fruit Pastilles and Fruit Gums, which emphasise real fruit juice, fun and nostalgia. Through widespread innovation the brand also contributed to major chocolate lines before being acquired by Nestlé in the late 1980s. Now available in Australia via British Provender, Rowntree’s brings a taste of classic British sweet-shop favourites to local shelves.
